Job Description: Regions Hospital is looking for a highly motivated clinical oncology pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care and clinical expertise to patients in our Cancer Center and inpatient settings. The ideal candidate will have completed a PGY2 residency in oncology and be board certified. This position will primarily be scheduled for weekdays with a weekend/holiday rotation. Business needs are mostly for the day shift at this time but that could change as patient care needs shift requiring an occasional evening shift. Pharmacists at Regions Hospital provide professional pharmaceutical services by: rounding with patient care teams, monitoring patient medication therapies, providing drug information and education to healthcare providers and patients/families, precepting pharmacy students and residents, reviewing medication orders, dispensing medications and related supplies, overseeing the work of direct support personnel, and participating in quality and safety improvement projects. Position Requirements: *Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a PharmD or BS pharmacy degree. *Current license to practice pharmacy in the state of Minnesota. *At least one of the following:Completion of a Post-Doctorate Pharmacy Program with an emphasis in oncology (i.e. residency or fellowship such as a PGY1 or PGY2 ASHP accredited pharmacy program) - OR, Three or more years of current work experience equivalent to a residency experience with direct patient care in oncology. Board certification in oncology (BCOP) *Experience in research and investigation medications preferred.
