As an integral part of the pharmacy team, the Staff Pharmacist practices pharmacy consistent with company expectations and applicable state and federal laws and regulations in a fast-paced environment focused on patient care. The Staff Pharmacist is charged with interpreting prescription orders, peer-to-peer communications to clarify and verify the information and provide patient counseling. The Staff Pharmacist will provide direct supervision of Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Specialists performing pharmacy-related duties. A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides compliance consultation on pharmacy-related issues.

  • Drives the identification, implementation, development and coordination of performance improvement and quality activities and programs to ensure that pharmaceutical care and services are provided in compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Maintains systems to measure improvements in quality, cost and compliance.

  • Drives training and education programs for Pharmacy Compliance.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience

  • A valid registered licenseas a Pharmacist in the state of Texas

Nice to Have

  • Possess excellent written and verbal skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of audience including the ability to translate clinical information into a manner appropriate for clinical and non-clinical audiences.

  • Detail-oriented, accurately follow established procedures for completing work, and ensure high-quality results to include initiating action to correct quality problems.

  • Effectively manage ones time, stay focused, ensure performance objectives and deadlines are met.

  • Effectively meet customers needs, excellent interpersonal relationship skills, and take responsibility for customer satisfaction

  • Plan, organize, and prioritize work activities to meet business needs.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
