A.O. Fox Hospital Supervising Pharmacist in Oneonta, New York
A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital is dedicated to recruiting talented professionals to provide the primary and specialty care needed in our community. Fox will harness information technology and provide facilities that will optimize clinical outcomes and patient experience.
The Supervising Pharmacist will be responsible for planning, budgeting, directing and supervising pharmacy activities and personnel, including managing new programs within the department and for the hospital. Maintains the pharmacy within established hospital and regulatory agency laws, DNV standards, and Department of Health and Education Regulations. Serves as the designated person responsible for hospital wide compliance with USP 795, 797, and 800 standards.
Oversee the operations of hospital in-patient, and NCF medication distribution systems, including medication purchasing and handling to all associated health centers and/or physician practices.
Work with the professional and technical staff to assure compliance with all State and Federal pharmacy regulations as well as the current standards of DNV.
Prepare and monitor budgets and expenses for all pharmacy operations.
Oversee and participate as required in facility personnel policy matters.
Prepare reports for and inform senior management of issues and matters relating to the pharmacy operations.
Participate as a pharmacy lead in discussions of, modifications to, and implementation of all informatics platforms that touch pharmacy operations.
As the designated person, oversees hospital wide compliance with USP 795, 797, and 800 standards.
Education: B.S. Pharmacy; MS or Pharm D preferred
Experience: 3-5 years of managerial experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills along with information technology and pharmacy automation knowledge to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.
Physical Requirements: Basically sedentary. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Licenses/Certifications: Current NY State Pharmacist license.
