A Baccalaureate Degree in Pharmacy from a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE);
A Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (PharmD) from a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
License: Possess and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted license to practice Pharmacy in any one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Internship/Residency: Completion of a clinical pharmacy residency or fellowship accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists or American College of Clinical Pharmacy or documentation of appropriate education, training, and/or CME in the practice of clinical pharmacy.
A graduate certificate within the preceding year from an accredited pharmacy residency program;
Possess a minimum of 12 months of experience within the preceding 18 months as a Clinical Pharmacist performing direct patient care clinical activities in an inpatient, outpatient, or ambulatory care pharmacy setting;
Have held clinical privileges as a Clinical Pharmacist within the preceding 36 months in a military treatment facility.
Certification: BLS through AHA. Must be hands on course.
U.S. Citizenship: HCWs performing under this contract shall be U.S. citizens.
Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate. Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.
The HCW shall provide services Monday through Friday, excluding the day of observance of federal holidays, for an eight and a half (8.5) hour shift between the hours of 0700 to 1730.
The HCW’s shift shall include an uncompensated 0.5 hour meal break.
The HCW shall not exceed 80 hours of service in a two-week pay period.
An alternate work schedule within the assigned clinic hours may be authorized upon mutual written agreement between the government supervisor and the HCW.
The government will prepare schedules four to eight weeks in advance.
Any planned absences of the HCW shall be communicated to the government supervisor in advance of the absence.
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
