Ifso, the Consultant Pharmacist role is for you!As a Consultant Pharmacist, you have the excitingopportunity to collaborate with facility leaders and staff tocoordinate pharmaceutical services within long term carefacilities around Kansas. You will have the opportunity toguide development and evaluation of pharmaceuticalservices procedures within the facility. You will assist thefacility to identify, evaluate, and address/resolvepharmacy-related concerns and issues that affect residentcare, medical care, quality of life, and/or regulatorycompliance. This position will perform duties below byworking in various long term care facilities.You will:• Ensure facilities remain compliant with federal regulations• Complete clinical reviews as required by federal andstate regulation• Own issue resolution and communicate early warningsigns of potential issues• Drive adoption of Omnicare programs and serviceofferings• Leverage existing customer relationships to promote anddrive organic growth as well as new business• Conduct Executive Reviews and other customermeetings as required• Collaborate with Account Management, Sales,Operations and appropriate corporate functions to meetoverall site goals and objectives• Perform Medication Regimen Reviews (MRR), asrequired by regulation or contract for facility type, andprovide written reports of these reviews to applicablefacility staff preferably upon exit but within 3 business daysafter each month’s consulting has been completed• Spend an appropriate amount of time on each resident’sreview as defined by their clinical needs• Use approved software on-site to generate MRR,including therapeutic interchange and Omnicare clinicalprogram-related recommendations and documentresponses to previous recommendations• Utilize approved software to identify specific residentsneeding targeted focus(es)• Complete all required reports• Educate facility staff, including the Director of Nursing,Medical Director and Administrator when new programsare implemented and perform specific required functionsDirectly, and through our subsidiaries, Omnicare providesa broad array of pharmacy-related services to long termcare facilities and to other customers in the healthcareenvironment. While senior care has long been anOmnicare specialty, we also serve other targetedpopulations.This is a full time position offering 32 hours/week. Sites visited are in the Kansas City, MO areas.

Required Qualifications

Active Pharmacy license in good standing in KansasAbility to visit long term care facilities located in KansasMust reside within a commutable distance of Kansas City, MO.Must hold current immunization or obtain within 3 months from start date

Preferred Qualifications

2-3 years of experience in a clinical pharmacy practice withat least one year of long term care pharmacy practicepreferredPharmacist license in any or all of the aforementioned states: Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, Minnesota


B.S. in Pharmacy or PharmD degree requiredCertification in geriatrics and/or gerontology preferred
