Identifies opportunitiesfor and participates in drug utilization reviews and research. Identifiesopportunities for publishing case reports, unique therapeuticinterventions, development of practice standards, and other medicationrelated pharmacy topics.Demonstrates sustained record of contributing to the pharmacy practiceknowledge through:Publications in professionals journals or booksPosters/presentations at professional meetings (regional/national level)Review of book chapters and manuscripts submitted for publicationParticipates in the education of pharmacy staff, nursing staff, medicalstaff, pharmacy residents and students, other healthcare alliedprofessionals and patients and families. Serves as a preceptor and mentor forpharmacy residents and students.Participates on a hospital committee(s)Provides drug information services by responding to questions regardingmedication compatibilities, adverse drug events, regimens, dosing,interactions, storage and disposal, compounding, therapeutic uses ofmedications and pharmaceutical supplies in a timely manner; using asystematic approach to effectively searching, retrieving, and evaluatingthe literature and appropriately communicating and applying the information tothe patient care situation; and assisting with the development,maintenance, and implementation of hospital and department policy andprocedures related to medication use, storage, restrictions, andadministrationSustains and implements quality and safety initiatives and practices in thedepartment and throughout the hospital. Reports adverse drug events andmedication variances using the hospital variance reporting program (QSRS).Demonstrates sustained record of identifying and leading qualityimprovement/assurance initiatives.Sustains clinical pharmacy services throughout the organization by providingpharmaceutical care for pediatric patients of all age ranges throughparticipation in multi-disciplinary team rounds and/or care, emergencyresponse, education, guidance, interpretation and analysis of medicationrelated therapeutic issues; documen
